The heart of Yogamelange: our team!

We are a colorful mix of diverse personalities with a wealth of experience. What connects us all is our love of yoga. In addition to our various training courses, it is our own many years of regular yoga practice that buids the basis for our teaching.

Our top priority is to respond to you and your needs and to meet you where you are right now. We want you to feel completely at home with us. Because every body is different and tells its own story, please talk to us and let us know if a part of you needs special attention.

Our studio

is located in the 7th district Neubaugasse 40. You can reach us on the 13 A or the 49, and the U3 Neubaugasse station is also very close by. With its well-developed cycle paths, the district is a true Eldorado for cyclists. Numerous bike racks in the immediate vicinity allow you to park your bike safely. The district offers you attractive cultural, nightlife and shopping opportunities after your yoga class. Enjoy the urban contrast between yoga and vibrant city life!

Yogamelange – a place for encounters

Two spacious practice rooms are available for our yoga practice. The beautiful, light-flooded rooms in the old building offer plenty of space and good energy for your individual development. The studio has separate men’s and women’s changing rooms and a shower. Fresh tea is always ready for you in our small kitchen, a cozy lounge with couch invites you to chat and linger.

And that’s what you can expect from us:

  • Yoga classes in a warm, intimate atmosphere spiced with a large portion of cordiality.

  • A flexible, varied timetable for all levels.

  • A competent, humorous team of yoga teachers with a lot of experience.

  • Relaxed yoga without any pressure to perform.

Ashtanga Yoga is the heart of our yoga practice.

Ashtanga Yoga is a system that has grown out of many years of broad knowledge. The combination of postures and breath keeps the body healthy and calms the mind. But because life is a flow and no two moments are the same, we always seek a connection to the now and are open to everything that supports our body in its “being this way”, in the present moment.

We are deeply grateful to the great teachers of the Ashtanga tradition. T. Krishnamacharya, who laid the foundation for modern yoga. Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, who opened Ashtanga Yoga to Western students and passed on the teachings of this system with tireless dedication until his death.

Sarasvathi, Sharath and Manju Jois, who carry on the Ashtanga tradition in the next generation with such great dedication, and Matthew Sweeney, who has created a well-thought-out and customized system with his Vinyasa Krama sequences.

Last but not least, we take a bow to all the people who practise yoga as a wonderful instrument day after day and in the most diverse places in the world, who pass it on to others and who continue to inspire us in our practice.
