Yoga nidra, also known as “yogic sleep”, is a guided meditation practice that puts you in a state of deep relaxation. During the practice, the body lies in complete rest, similar to sleep, but the mind remains conscious and awake. This allows you to achieve deep relaxation, reduce stress and regenerate your mind. The practice begins with body awareness, breathing exercises and visualizations that lead the mind into a state between wakefulness and sleep. A central component of Yoga Nidra is the Sankalpa – a short, positive affirmation or personal resolution that you set at the beginning of the practice. In a state of deep relaxation, the Sankalpa is repeated when the mind is particularly receptive. Through regular repetition, the Sankalpa can help to transform ingrained habits or mindsets and promote positive change in your life. Yoga Nidra is ideal for alleviating sleep problems, reducing inner tension and improving your general well-being. Participation is possible with all studio cards.
