Workshop: Ashtanga Yoga 2nd series with Marija

NADI SHODHANA is the second exercise sequence of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and literally means cleansing the energy channels (nadis) that run through the entire body and supply it with prana (life energy). While the First Series focuses on forward bends, hip-opening exercises and vinyasas, the Intermediate Series goes one level deeper and has a stronger influence on the nervous system through a variety of backbends. This strengthens the spine and increases its flexibility. In addition to backbends, the Intermediate Series opens up a broader and deeper spectrum of twisting positions, hip-opening leg behind head positions as well as arm and head balance positions. On this Saturday morning, we will take our time and playfully explore the different position groups of the Intermediate Series. After a physical warm-up, we will use various breathing exercises to direct our awareness inwards and explore deeper dimensions of our consciousness with inner peace and mental clarity. All Levels Welcome! Several variations are shown for all positions, which is why the workshop is equally suitable for beginners and advanced students.
